Rev. Aaron D. Schnelle will officiate todays worship service
We, the people of Bethel Lutheran Church come together as a family of faith, prayer and service, striving to respond to the call of Jesus to love God and our neighbor, carrying out His commission in Matthew 28:19, “to go into all the world.” By virtue of our baptism, each member is called to share in the work of witnessing to and within our Lord’s Kingdom and His call to bear His name to others.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TODAY “A Divided Kingdom” Solomon’s heir, Rehoboam, ignored the pleas of the people to lighten their load and instead threatened to make them work harder. Angered by this, ten tribes of Israel make Jeroboam their leader, leaving Rehoboam to lead only the tribes of Judah and Benjamin in Jerusalem, where the temple was. Discuss how the division of the kingdom affected the worship life of the people. “How could dividing yourself from church affect your worship life?” Join us at 9:15am in the Conference Room as we open the hour with Scripture, prayer, praise and hymns.
LIFE AT BETHEL
A new Sunday morning adult Bible Study titled, “Life at Bethel!”, begins today. We will study not only what we believe, but why we practice our faith the way we do. While this study is intended to serve those interested in membership, all members are encouraged to attend. Our primary materials will be the Bible, Luther’s Small Catechism and The Lutheran Service Book. Availability and usage of these materials will be discussed the first Sunday. If you are interested in membership, please inform the church office.
We are always welcoming new members to come and visit Bethel.
Early Service – 8:00a
Late Service – 10:30a
